Haven't blogged in the longest time, but now that this semester is coming to an end I will definitely start doing it more often! Next posts will be about the wedding planning, 2 months away!, and some jewelry posts too :)

I was tagged by beautiful Yannet to do this post about my favorite and least favorite parts of myself so here I go...

Perfections:

1. My legs. I love the fact that I have super long legs and although I hardly work out they're very toned and when I wear heels it shows ;)

2. My eyes. Ish has told me that my eyes made him fall in love with me, aww. My eyes are very big and I have super long eyelashes and I love to play them up with lots of different eye shadows and liners.

3. My hair. I have really thick, voluminous, healthy hair, and recently it's become very shiny. I never curl it or straighten it yet it still looks like I styled it, awesome saves me time!

Imperfections:

1. My chest. Ever since I can remember I've had a large chest and I hate it. I've wanted a reduction since forever but I've embraced them, they make me, me! & as long as the bf doesn't complain I'm goood lol

2. My teeth. I've always had pretty crooked teeth and until this year, because I got engaged, did I finally do something about it. I got braces last February and in a few months they've become very straight, can't wait to take them off though!

3. My nails. I always bite them and because of this they've become boyish :/ They're also very small, and I'm a pretty tall person to have that small of hands.

As of right now take back something I said, this is something that relates directly to something going on in my life. A few months ago I accidently told someone something that slipped from my tongue, an honest mistake that has unfortunately brought upon many headaches and drama, but anywho it's all childish and I'm over it!

My ex, Ish has already semi-met him and nothing happened, but if I was to run into his ex I would give her an ear full lol

eyebrows! I would draw them in like the cholas lol

Jail for 5 years at least I'd have company!

Blog Challenge Day Numero Uno!

It's about time I start blogging and this blog challenge is the perfect excuse to do it on a daily basis. I've seen this on many of the other blogs I follow so I decided to do it myself :) So now on to the good stuff and I encourage all of my followers to do the same!

Day Numero Uno: A photo of yourself and a description of how your day was.

So today I went to work like a typical weekday, 9-5 job anxiously waiting to get out so I could get my butt to the fair, I was craving funnel cake all day! So I get home get ready and head out to the local fair, it's a little fair that they have every Wednesday evening from spring to summer. It' s usually just a bunch of vendors selling stuff such as food, shirts, accessories, and funnel cake! lol I ended up going with my cousin Leilani, my sissy in law Ed, and my cousin Jesse, his fiance Carol and my nephew. We walked around I bought some cake and some cute hair accessories, which recently I find myself buying more and more of. If I'm having a bad hair day I usually just pin one of these bad boys on and voila' I instantly feel more done up.

I bought these tonight: a skeleton hand w/flowers, thinking of wearing this on my wedding day.

aand this headband which reminds me of Blair from Gossip Girl :p

These are all custom made flowers that two of my facebook friends made for me, the bottle caps are really cool, and if you look closely the black and white flower has a picture of Ish and I in the middle :) If you want some of these let me know and I'll give you her info.

The 3 people that inspire me the most are

#1 First and foremost my wonderful fiance Ish! He is honestly the man of my dreams, he's gentle, sweet, super nice & friendly, always ready to make everyone laugh, he's basically everything I've ever wanted in a man. He's my best friend and I'm proud to say in a few months I'll be his wifey! :) He inspires me to do what I want to do without worrying about what anyone will say or think, I know at the end of the day he'll be there for me no matter what, and for that I thank him and God!

#2 The second person in my life that I find truly inspiring is my Mom, she is the greatest woman I know, always putting us her children first in her life, and always there for me when I need her. I hope that one day I can be if only half of the woman she is, I love this woman so much, even though I fail to remind her but I know that the day I get married our relationship will become stronger and I'll be able to truly thank her for raising me. Btw my mom is super hot, I need to find a picture of her to post it up, people always think she's my older sister! lol

#3 The third most inspiring person in life believe it or not is my cousin Leilani, yes you are inspiring Rita! She recently got a blog so follow it http://l-leilani.blogspot.com/ I find her to be truly inspiring because she's been through a lot and she's accomplished so much without any motivation from anyone, she inspired me last year to continue going to college to get a degree and to have something to be proud of. For that I thank her!, I consider her my sister and I love her even though I tend to only remind her when I'm buzzed haha, but thanks for being there for me and for inspiring me to be a better person ♥

Yannet, Angelica, and Jenny are all wonderful ladies and they are truly nice, I truly wish we could all hang out one day I'm sure we'd have a blast! They inspire me because they're mommy's, wifes, and they have a job, they're holding it down! lol I hope one day I can be as good as a mommy as they are :) Nataly Lemus inspires me because she started her own business all out of passion for taking photographs, her pictures are wonderful, and when I was looking for a wedding photographer she was one of our choices unfortunately she wasn't available but nonetheless I still love to see her blog and her amazing pictures. Sccastaneda is inspiring to me as well because she started doing youtube videos out of boredom and somehow managed to make it into her own little business. Ok ok enough rambling, thanks again to Yannet, and I promise to start blogging more, I'm going to start the project 1 a day to get started :)

It's such a beautiful Sunday here in so. cal the Lakers won the first playoff game(& we're taking the championship AGAIN this year!), made some ceviche with my mom, and now I'm sitting outside relaxing :). Ish went to the movies with my bro's, I'm not a big fan of fighting movies so I decided to stay home, with the promise of going shopping when he gets back. I'm thinking of going to Target to get some new shoes and tees, GorgeousMommyK tempted me to get the new shoes from the Cynthia Vincent wedges :) Found this 20 questions tag and decided to do it. Spring makeup

Been a little M.I.A. this past month sorry! Well this past weekend I was getting ready to go to a party, & I asked Ish to choose my eyeshadow colors, most of the time I seriously don't even know which ones to go with so I let him choose :p He ended up pointing out a green & a gray eyeshadow, I was like what the?! But I made it work, or at least I tried :) I'm not the type to match my eyeshadow to my clothes so I like it when he chooses colors because he always chooses the last ones I would ever go with. He choose bitter & scene, & I added some humid & mylar to blend it. Since it's spring I decided to whip out my pink noveau lipstick & this is what I came up with, hope you guys like it! :)

P.S. I've been going to a diet clinic for the past 4 weeks and so far I've lost about 14 pounds! :) I'm so excited to reach my goal so I can start trying on wedding dresses!!

Day #2 of "Wedding Bootcamp"

You will notice that I eat a lot food from fast food places, I always go on their website before I go and check out the nutritional facts menu so that I am sure to get something low in calories. Last night I didn't work out because I was soo sore from Monday night, what a weenie! But tonight I will hop back on the train! This is another dress I love the back is hot!! & it's by Lazaro as well :)

Breakfast: Chai Tea w/creamer and sugar

Lunch: Chili from wendy's w/no cheese(it's soooo good, cheap, and healthy!)

Dinner: Veggies, Beans, and Chicken

Snack: Yogurt w/some girl scout cookies topping(sorry I couldn't resist :o)

So far I noticed that the pills aren't doing much ,however yesterday I took them before I went to bed and I got a sudden energy lift so I did my homework, and I ended up going to sleep at 1am! I'm not sure why the package states to take them before bedtime, when it's just going to make you more active. Weird! Day 3 here I come :)

Day #1 of "Wedding Bootcamp"

This week I decided to start on my workout regimen and on my eating healthier diet. Back in high school and pretty much throughout my whole life I was super skinny, I would eat McDonalds all the time and pig out whenever I felt like it without having to worry. Fast forward to when I turned 21 and I started noticing my belly was growing :/ With my wedding insight I know it's time to stop being lazy and to start my so called "wedding bootcamp"! My arms and legs are fine, I just need to lose some belly and overall tone my body up. This week I'll post what I ate and what exercises I did and hopefully this will motivate somebody else to start their diet :) I decided that having a picture on what you envision also helps you stay on track, so this is one of the wedding gowns I fell in love with, if I keep my dedication high hopefully I'll be able to purchase it and look fabulous in it, in no time! :)

What I ate: Breakfast-Chai tea w/creamer and sugar(not too healthy but I'm addicted!)

Lunch- From McDonalds-Chipotle Grilled snack wrap & Apple dippers w/caramel.

Dinner-Steamed rice, vegetables, and grilled chicken.

Workout: 30 mins of cardio in my room(go on youtube there are tons of vids about this), and some sit ups. And don't forget to stretch!

This week I also started taking the SlimQuick 7 Day cleanse pills which are supposed to make your body get rid of all the toxins and it also helps speed up your metabolism. I'll weigh myself at the end of the week and let you gals know if I did in fact lose weight or if I feel like my stomach got cleansed.

Yes it's true, he finally popped the big question last saturday night, the day after our anniversary. I had suspected he might ask me but I didn't think he would do it that night, so I was clueless at the time it happened. We had dinner at http://www.velvetmargarita.com/ (if you're in so. cal, definitely check this place out it's awesome!!! & the food is delicious), anywho I had invited some friends and family to go and have food and drinks with us, and I was feeling pretty tipsy lol. So we're waiting for our food and I notice everyone start acting strange(pulling out their cameras, moving the table back), so I say "what's going on!?, then I turn to look at Ish and he looks super nervous and he pulls out a box, omg! omg! lol , he gets down on his knee and he says "Mayra we've been together for 6 years already and I wouldn't change them for anything in the world. I love you and I know you're the one for me, I think it's time for us to take the next step, will you marry me?!" at this point I'm already crying my eyes out, so I hug him for what seems like forever telling him over and over I love you, I love you. Then I remember oh yea there's other people here haha, so I say yes of course I'll marry you, he puts on the ring and wow! It's gorgeous! lol I was so happy at that point I didn't even want to eat, I just wanted to stare at my ring all night long (which I did) lol.

I just wanted to share my story with you gals, we're already planning out the wedding one step at a time, we want a dia de los muertos themed wedding sometime next year:) Oh and fyi he told me he had already spoke to my mom and dad like 2 weeks before proposing and they both gave him their blessing and said they would support us 100% aww.

Today is my 6 year anniversary with Ish!
What started off as a friendship led to love. We have grown together so much over the years and I know one day I will able to tell our kids about our history together. I love you babe!!

Tonight we're going to a japanese restaurant for dinner and afterwards to a hot tub woo hoo :)
Tomorrow night we're going out with a bunch of friends to celebrate again!

This past weekend was my good friend Edlyn's birthday! Sidestory: Edlyn and I have been friends since 6th grade(even though we initially hated each other lol), throughout high school we became best friends and inseperable. Come senior year I end up liking her brother & surprisingly enough she was ok with it, fast forward 6 years(exactly!) and she is still my good friend as well as my future sister in law. We refer to each other now as sisters :) She is hilarious and even though our friendship has had some downs, at the end of the day I love her and she will always be a part of my life :) soo with that said Happy Birthday Ed! I love you sissy in law!

Senior Year of high school, class of 04 baby!
We went to a local hole in the wall bar so I decided to wear a simple black top with a zipper that kept unzipping lower and lower throughout the night lol. (btw I hate my chest I seriously want a reduction!!) My makeup consisted of a smokey eye(gold and black) and nude lips. Here are some pictures of the makeup even though my bangs totally covered my eyeshadow, bummer. I usually wear my bangs to the side but for that night I decided to bang out!! lol

First haul post

This is my first haul post and I want to start doing these more often, school starts next week so hopefully I'll have spare time to do more posts. Most of these things I purchased online so it's easy for you gals to find them.

I've been wanting some nude pumps for a loooonggg time, & I found these really cute ones at a good price. They're actually comfortable and look super cute! (http://www.cutesygirl.com/)

Forever21 has a cute line called "Rocker Babes with a twist" and I had to get these things! I love the whole rockabilly style, so these were must haves for me!

Sexy Pictures for your lover <3

Valentine's day is coming up and some of you ladies may be looking for an idea on what to give your man(or woman I don't judge ;D) as a gift. This past christmas I thought to myself what can I give to Ish as a gift, I wanted to give him something unique and something he would appreciate. What better than some sexy pictures of yourself, if you're in a commited relationship and you trust your partner than this would be a great surprise and something to spice up your love life ;). Grab your girls and make a date out of it! Here's some advice as well as some of the pictures I took for my honey. Hope you learn a little something.

Tips:

1. Buy some sexy lingerie, grab some of his button up shirts, his jerseys, or wear his favorite team colors.

2. Go all out with your makeup. Wip out that red lipstick you never wear, and put on some fake lashes.

3. Relax!, drink some wine with your girls and let loose ;)

4. Have some good lighting, when taking pictures lighting is everything. Have someone hold a lamp and aim it in your direction.

5. Wear high heels! Heels make your legs look longer and they do wonders for your tush.

6. Play some music. Channel your inner Sasha Fierce while posing for the camera.

7. Last but not least: Have fun!! & take turns taking pictures of each other :)

A really great editing program (which is 100% free) is photoscape, google it and download it to your computer. You can add really cool effects, and sexify yourself even more. Have the pictures developed at your local Target or CVS, Buy a cute album and put all of the pictures in there. & TA-DAH! Super cheap & he'll love it!! :)

New Year, New Look!

Hey dolls, yes finally a new blog post I promise to start doing these more often! If you follow me on twitter than you probably already know that I ended 2009 by chopping off most of my hair!! If you personally know me then you know what a huge deal that was for me, I was so proud of my super long hair and after much convincing(from my boyfriend) I decided to go for a new edgier look so off to Brenda I go. She was so excited when I told her to chop it off lol as though I had just told her she won $100 dollars haha! Anywho I'm glad I did it, I loved the outcome, but sometimes I wish it was just a wig lol I get bored soo easily by my hair, but I'll learn to make the best of it :)

Side Note: If you live in So. Cal Brenda is an amazing hair stylist!! So if you ladies or men are looking for a good hair cut/style let me know. Holla :p

So since I got this new haircut I've been emphasizing on my eyes with makeup, & today I was wearing this turquoise/beige top so I decided to do something similar on my eyes. It's super easy to do & if you don't have the exact same products improvise ladies. Hope you gals like it!!

Lashes & Brows: Shue Uemura-eyelash curler(the best!), Benefit-Bad Gal waterproof mascara, M.A.C.- Brow set gel in show-off(brown).

Cheeks: Lorac-TANtalizer bronzer, M.A.C.-Melba powder blush.

Lips: Smashbox-O'gloss lip gloss(goes on clear & turns pink).
